Just watched NBC News do a 5-minute story on Chipotle. The food, the price of avocados, etc. There was zero news in this network’s deep French kiss to a restaurant chain. WTF. What happened to journalism???

You might not see it in the mainstream media, but over 10,000 people protested today at Tesla showrooms across the country, another 10,000+ rallied in support of national parks, and more than 1,000 gathered in Vermont to protest Vance’s visit.

Hats off to 25 year old Lucy Welch speaking truth about JD Vance wanting to ski in national park land while cutting national parks - and not caring if she loses her job! #guts
Must READ Lucy Welch's #Sugarbush inspirational reporting today, speaking truth to power. She's beyond wise, brave & yet somehow polite calling out #JDVance hypocrisy skiing on National Parks Lands while gutting employees. #resist #hero @billmckibben.bsky.social

Tweet from Mass. congressman Seth Moulton - couldn’t have said it better myself: The President of the United States is a coward who is Vladimir Putin's puppet. The Vice President is a coward who is Trump’s puppet. The administration is going to go down as an embarrassment to American history.

Yesterday when I was struggling the most with the flood of fascist moves from the White House, I walked out of my barn office to see a flock of geese had settled on our pond. Their feathers reflected the lights of the dock and the dawn. There is still beauty and grace in the world.

After Trump inexplicably won a return to the Oval Office, I woke up thinking of Fannie Lou Hamer. She is one of my favorite civil rights heroes. We need her example now more than ever. She refused to stop fighting for what was right, and we shouldn't either. maurac.substack.com/p/a-hero-for...

I am more fond of the battered box my ornaments are stored in than the decorations themselves, as it is the last vestige of my parents' holiday parties 50-plus years ago.
