Another great novel of historical fiction by Madeline Martin. This time it was based in Paris & Portugal. I just love the way this woman writes! It’s so good and well researched. #bluesky 💙📚

If you enjoyed the Kamogawa Food Detectives or The Chibineko Kitchen, you’ll probably enjoy this one. It’s the story of a library open only at night curating the book collections of deceased famous writers. My dream job tbh. 💙📚#booksky

Historical fiction set in Appalachia tackling difficult topics related to: miscegenation, eugenics, abuse against women at home and in the workplace, and a woman’s right to work and exist as an independent woman. This was such a good book. I got it from my local library via the Libby app 💙📚#booksky

I just finished The Blackbird Oracle, the latest in the All Souls Series by Deborah Harkness. This was the perfect way to escape from all the things that are happening in the world. I highly recommended the entire series. #booksky 💙📚

Ditch tariffs, tax the ultrawealthy above 80% after their first $10M. It worked in the 50s and 60s and gave us the biggest economic boom in world history.

When we get a real president, I want Jackie’s rose garden restored. I want the Kennedy Center name put back. I want that $200M gold-plated ego chamber demolished. And I want the Saudi jet dropped in the water outside Mar-a-Lardo and turned into a nonstop immigrant welcome tour.

The signs are pretty evident: Noem wants to be the President. We cannot allow her to ever become the President, especially not the first woman to be president. She would damage the perception Americans have about women in leadership for generations.

It isn't fair to blame the disaster on "Texas" or a "Texas mentality". Multiple counties were affected by these floods. ALL did their jobs, except ONE. All except one communicated with NWS. All except one took steps to warn residents.
This is a Kerr County problem.
