Thank you, I get that. It just sucks to know that we also have to fight the Democratic Party now. We're fighting fascism and trying to survive, while they bend over for fascism and collect a fat paycheck for doing so. Actual fighters in Congress are in the single digits. Who in DC has our backs?

I know it would never happen, but Bernie has a knack for articulating the needs of average people, he's got some fire, and he's not one to fall for the GOP dirty tricks.
I think Warren and Hirono would be good choices, policy-wise, but they would need to dial up the fire a bit.

Trump and Johnson can whip the entire GOP into protecting the most infamous cabal of child rapists in history, but Schumer and Dem leadership can't wrangle 8 wayward Dems into uniting to protect healthcare. That's not a simple case of ineffectual leadership; it's complicity and betrayal.

Let's go a step further and boycott all the big chains. Try to find locally owned alternatives for EVERYTHING.

For sure. Every penny I've donated to a politician has been a tangible sacrifice, just to be told that I need to settle for watered-down, corporate-friendly policies again and again. Their entire messaging boils down to "Hey, at least we aren't MAGA."

I wish I knew. I deleted my ActBlue account to send a message. They only support incumbents, and we need new blood. Beyond that, I feel pretty powerless.

My opinion is that it happened because the corporate wing of the Democratic Party is more interested in pleasing its billionaire donors. The "roll" we were on was too Progressive and populist for the establishment to be comfortable with.

I apologize for misreading the post, but it was confusing. I am just spun out and in a rage at being gaslit into not abandoning a party that has abandoned us. I will support INDIVIDUAL Democrats, but the “Party” has shown no interest in supporting the people. Blue no matter who got us here.

Just did the same.

Forgive me if I'm all out of optimism and a belief in "silver linings."
Johnson already has it figured out how to stop the files. Nothing good will ever happen again. The Dems took our positive momentum from last Tuesday and flushed it down the toilet.

We get to bathe in the glorious gaslight and pretend like the Dems give a fuck about poor and working people.

"Get past internal redriminations"? So... just be quiet and support the MAGA-lite wing of the Dems? Nope.
Voters *were* united last Tuesday, and the Democratic Party just told us all to go fuck ourselves.
I am done with the gaslighting from corporate Dems like you.

YOU are the one calling out by name the few Dems who do not suck and saying that they are the ones who suck. WTF are you even talking about? The ones you call out by name are the only ones not rolling over! Yet you say those are the ones who suck? Fuck all the way off with that nonsense.

We assume they are naive and/or tone-deaf at our peril. They are 100% complicit. The DNC and establishment Dems are owned by the same billionaires as MAGA. People like Kaine and Schumer have never fought for us. NEVER.

What in the world makes you believe that the same Dems who just caved and gave up any shred of leverage will actually fight for us later when they have zero bargaining power? This was a 100% loss with zero upsides. They just lost all credibility and momentum.

Momentum *was* a real thing. It's all gone now. Dems just destroyed every crumb of enthusiasm and momentum. Voters, especially young voters, showed up last Tuesday, only to be told to fuck off less than a week later. Why show up for the Dems when they sell us out EVERY SINGLE TIME?

We got nothing, but the billionaires who own Congress got everything they wanted.
