Since then we have found dosages of meds that are working. She hasn't had a GTC seizure in 5 and a half months now. I know we are very fortunate that she is able to control her seizures with medication. At 8 years old, she's been through a lot and she is incredibly brave.

The next couple of months were a journey of trial and error for medications. Culminating in a hospital stay that saw 7 back to back seizures. This was the most scared I've ever been since that day at the pool.

She went another 8 months without another big seizure. We started focusing on the absence seizures and considering that maybe what happened in the pool was a convulsive syncope. Sure enough she had another GTC, again when we were out of town. Very thankful for good insurance.

She also started having generalized tonic clonic (GTC) seizures every 1-2 weeks. Her first one came while we were swimming on vacation. Very scary. Very thankful there were multiple medical professionals who happened to be at the pool at the same time.

Remind me again the kind of people Jesus hung out with.
Sounds like James is actually doing a good job following Jesus.

First off, what if life wasn't a competition?

And not just to spite the tech bros, but to help consumers! In addition to her anti trust work, her FTC enacted policies like click to cancel so companies couldn't hassle customers into keeping service they didn't want. Maybe a small win, but more of that!
