So recently I was talking to one of my fellow hip hop nerd friends about what the best year in hip hop is. He went with 1995.

I’m rolling with 1996. I can’t think of another year in the history of the genre where it was THAT stacked with great releases.

Had to drive for a total of 10 hours today for work. Living in Houston I sometimes forget just how conservative Texas is. Had the opportunity today to see Banjo land in its full glory.

Not some shit I’m used to being from Maryland. The south be wildin.

I’m convinced that Cunninlynguists and The Roots have the best discographies in hip hop. Not a single miss and no slippage.

Let’s support greatness when we hear it.
