I'm the same. My dentist strongly suggested a mouthguard. Tried wearing it. Wife told me an hour after I went to sleep, I sat up in bed and sidearm threw it across the room.
Tried it again the following night. Nearly hit her with it that time.
No more mouth guards for me. :)
