I have a very random unscientific opinion that the people who want to use these words are people who face no other obstacles in life currently, so asking them to limit their speech in any way, even out of kindness and respect, feels like oppression.
like, i'm barely being glib saying that there's a non-trivial amt of people out there whose politics are loosely just 'i want to be able to say the r-word loudly in public like i used to'
