My wife had a Siamese cat. He would howl for every second when we were all in the car. And my parents were eight hours away.

Right now I have a ~two gallon glass jar full of pickles that I made with fresh cucumbers from my mom’s garden and hot peppers from ours and another similar jar of dry King Arthur flour.

The peppermint oil is a good one. I know the trick of plugging gaps with steel wool. The big problem we have is that we have been buying staples like rice/beans/pasta/flour when they are on sale and mice chew through the plastic containers we have.

I worked for a while as a projectionist. Movie studio logos are a handy tool to make sure you have the right aspect ratio for the movie.
Studio logos are usually a simple geometric shape. When you are setting up focus & the logo looks distorted you can fix the problem before the film runs very far.
