Automotive News reports that a memo sent to dealers confirms that Nissan is halting production of U.S. market Ariyas for 2026.
The Ariya is built in Japan, which now receives a 15% import tariff. No word on if the Ariya will eventually return to the U.S. lineup.

If I had the means to start a car company, this is what I would do, with the addition of a sedan/hatch variant. I’ve been saying for years somebody needs to make something truly basic. Very interested to see how this goes for them.

I know it’s naive to hope that people would be courteous but two Niro EVs “fast” charging at LVL 2 speeds hogging the 350kW chargers is so annoying.
