Biden says the Equal Rights Amendment is law. What happens next is unclear
To come into effect, the constitutional amendment would need to be formally published or certified by the National Archivist who has declined to do so in the past. What happens now is unclear.

I don’t get the goal. We won’t have a 28th amendment next week, so this statement will only look stupid. The fact that he waited for the last Friday of his term seems to say he knows it’s shady too. A presidential press release isn’t going to make it law (or influence the new administration).
