Many US companies manufacture products in Mexico. The tariffs just increased the costs of those goods to the US company by 25%. This will hit stock prices Monday and earnings will be impacted down the road.
I hope business leaders will make sure Trump knows this, but I’m not optimistic.

So, do the tariffs apply to illegal fentanyl and immigrants? I’m not clear on the connection here. Is he trying to drive more US production of illegal drugs and migrants?

What am I missing here? OLC said no, courts said no, the archivist says no. Except for the fact that Biden hasn’t tried to fire the archivist and replace her with a flunky, this seems like Trumpian behavior we’d be screaming about.

Jen has been a dynamic and unique leader at CISA and she will be missed. I hope the next CISA director will continue the path set by Jen and Chris Krebs before her. Seems unlikely, though, and that sucks.
