Does anyone know if there is a biodegradable alternative for row covering? I know the plastic covers reduce pesticide use and insects but there has to be a better alternative. 🌱
Plastic helps farms increase crop production and reduce labour costs, and it gives B.C. farmers an advantage over cold weather. But there is no recycling program, so most of that plastic ends up in a landfill — or is burned, buried or left in a pile to blow away.
