Nature lover and curious person. Designer, founder of @purerxd.bsky.social and Head of Design at Ethic. Enjoy sustainability, health, finance and complex systems.
As people of the craft we look for simplicity so that we can bring our energy to shaping and designing. I still love how simple our decks for Ethic came out. Just a sample slide of one of the internal "ways of working" guides.

New things coming soon. We have not updated our public portfolio in over 4 years. Since then we have worked with Apple, Google, MLS, Ethic and a few more amazing companies.

We should look at nature and adapt a new financial system that celebrates long lasting and stable companies.

The Farm Belt in California. Hours and hours of fields. This is where you get your Avocados and Almonds from people.

Another good one that never gets old. Phil Knight at Nike way back. Timeless for any type of business.

I love that we can give this craft space to our kids. I never had it and it’s more important than ever to be analog. To craft with your hands and your mind.

Finally some rain in Los Angeles.

I decided to see it for myself. Surreal and unreal. These photos taken at PCH and Palisades. Everything and all houses gone. And the Palisades Fire is over 17,000 acres, larger than all of manhattan.

I love that people have a strong moral compass. It could have been a winning strategy to have doubled-down on fact checking to build a solid place as Ai is ramping up.

The weather is really rough now. Winter season in LA.

Design Tip: As you find and share inspiration, save great benchmarks etc do not only share it in Slack but make sure to save it for yourself too. Mostly because when you decide to move on from your current company you will loose all those great finds.

A few days with The Wikmans skiing and boarding. Love that I still can teach and challenge my kids through play.

Amaras law is just not great to think about around Ai and design but actually around most things we do. Keep on going and have that grit. Training for a marathon or learning to play the guitar. The same thing.

Today’s politics in the United States feels kind of like this.

Riding in a Waymo feels super secure. They have done an amazing job with the mood, trust and how the car drives.

Gratitude for the big and small things and all the things I take for granted on a daily basis. Like water on tap. Like healthy family. Like money.

I remind myself on daily basis to not join the race of so many things. Proud and humble for what I have. Not to focus on what I don't have.

It seems that things are picking up - large companies hiring recruiter/talent operations people, agencies posting about freelancer needs, tons of compaines looking for mid to senior people + directors, recruiters reaching out with multiple roles that might be of interest.

Just spent 30 minutes outside cleaning my new super sweet Le Turbo. I love taking care of my things and even learning how they are built. Especially when bombing down at 40mph, then its good to know that the bolts are tight.

The mountain biking is actually pretty good in the Santa Monica and Topanga Mountains. Very different riding than NYC and upstate NY and Sweden and more like Hawaii and the Alps — the nature is amazing.

It seems that @vercel.com might not work with a lot of designers. The max MB when importing from Figma is 5MB. That is a very small file.., which you then have to break out into different frames, take out all images and gradients etc in order to get down under 5MB.

USWE and No Dancing Monkey. They are not kidding around. Best small pack I have ever had. Sits tight at 40mph downhill.

One of my happy places. 30 mile mountain biking up in the Santa Monica and Topanga mountains.

I posted this one 10 years ago today. Amazing how accurate it still is. Stay curious.
