Flying over the Italian Alps, yesterday I was once again shocked by the lack of snow. In recent years, I can hardly recognize the mountains I grew up with: less white in winter and less green in summer. I wonder how long it’ll take for the water shortage to heavily impact the local economy.

This curve reminds me a blog post I wrote in the Spring of 2016, after returning from the 18th International Meeting on Lithium Batteries (IMLB). At the time, prices in the 100-125 $/kWh range were DOE targets, today - with the necessary caveats- a reality!
