Illinois sports fan. I love watching and betting small wagers on sports.
Cubs are done this regular season with the Diamondbacks, Padres, and Dodgers. They have yet to play a game against a team in their division.

Pistons win a playoff game for the first time since 2008. That losing streak was able to drive legally.

Oklahoma City 131, Memphis 80. That's a 51 point margin of victory. Wow.

Would have been an inning ending DP by Arizona, but they only get 1. 1 run scores on that play, then 2 run HR, then solo HR. 6-1 Cubs after 2.

Cubs are playing the Diamondbacks this weekend. Then the Dodgers early next week. After those 2 series, they will have played 20 games (out of 26) against the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, and Padres. Those teams are 33-10 (.767) when they play teams besides the Cubs. Brutal schedule.

First I was wondering how Duke wasn't going to cover the 4.5 point spread, and now I wonder how Houston won the game outright.

We have 2 adults, 1 teenager, 3 dogs, and 1 cat all on the same couch. Feeling a little cramped.

Time for some sweet 16 men's basketball. Don't have any rooting interest in any game (didn't make any bets) - just hoping for good basketball.

Today I will be volunteering at the Illinois High School girl's state basketball tournament. Doing something new this time, so it's going to be a learning experience.

Two double OT games in college basketball last night, along with number 1 Auburn losing, and I missed all of it. Power was out at my house for a while and when it came back on I didn't turn on the TV.

Several college basketball conferences have completed their regular season, and a couple have started the conference tournament. My favorite month of the sports calendar is in full swing.

The over/under in the Michigan/Nebraska game was 153. A bunch of free throws at the end of the game got them into the 90's combined. Final score 49-46.

Oh, you want to know what I did at work this week? I took a class called "the adverse impacts of micromanaging in the workplace". Then I worked on the tasks my real boss assigned to me.

Just a reminder from the Poison song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" that the words "thorn" and "dawn" and "song" all rhyme if you pronounce them a certain way.

Starting my college basketball research for March.

Bulls down 71-29 at halftime. That's 29 points in 24 minutes in an NBA game. Ouch.

All the experts who picked the Chiefs gave a reason of "don't pick against Patrick Mahomes". All the experts who picked the Eagles gaves stats and reasons why they were the better team. Guess you can pick against Mahomes now.

College basketball number 1 and number 2 teams lose yesterday. And 3rd ranked Alabama had to hold on to win. Next week, it wouldn't be a shock if the top 3 teams are all from the SEC: Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn.

I haven't been doing any sports betting for a while. Today I might get back into it for a bit. I have Wake Forest -2.5 vs Pitt, BC +5.5 vs Fla St, and Virginia -4 vs Va Tech. See how this goes.

Illinois shooting 9 for 32, 3 for 18 on 3's, in the first half at Nebraska. 5 dudes in their 40s at the Y could probably do better.

That was an amazing first semifinal game for the college football playoffs. Had a lot of defense for 3 quarters, then a lot of offense in the 4th quarter, then a FG with 8 seconds left to win the game.
