Added an option to adjust the census data using the « wage inflation-adjusted » figures on compareyoursalary.ca. Since 2020, the pandemic & price inflation led to a significant wage increase. I’ve applied an increase ~20% based on the average wages provided by Stats Canada.

I built a tool to answer the question my friends and I always debate: where do we actually fall in Canada's income distribution? compareyoursalary.ca (comparetonsalaire.ca en français)

I saw Nouvelle Vague from Richard Linklater yesterday, really liked it. I would advise watching the original movie, Breathless, after seeing the behind-the-scenes.

Since I read it, I thought a lot about this text by @jonathonpsine.bsky.social on the lack of « get shit done » spirit in our societies (that’s how I reformulate the debate) . Full of nuances and, I think, that where’s the answer certainly lies. www.cogitations.co/p/litigation...

I've been working on a fun macOS app for a while, and it's now ready for you to try.

I'm calling it Shakkei (@shakkei.app), named after the Japanese principle of “borrowed scenery”, and with it, you can transform your Mac workspace into a lively and cosy environment.

I’m using the Amadeus API to vibe code an app. On the bright side, the API has a generous free tiers and even a pay-as-you-go one. The documentation is okay. BUT it has been several days now that we can’t log in to their developers portal (which is also very slow).

Flights APIs are like time zones management in software. At first, it seems simple enough, but the more you dig, the more the web of subtleties grows. Regional Metropolitan airports’ codes, fragmented schedules, aggregators, private affiliate programs, etc. 😰

I can understand the panic attack of an owner of a business relaying on SEO . My small personal website has been almost de-indexed by Google a few weeks ago. It happened a couple of years ago. (1/2)

I used Replit to build a prototype of a web app. I had to choose from so many AI assistants and coding tools. From what I understood, Lovable is only for UI stuff, Cursor is more oriented for professional sw eng, v0 was also on the list, but backend features are more rudimentary than Replit.
