Really enjoying how, on Bluesky, you can tap into a post to join a conversation and it won’t already have gone to shit because a load of blue tick troll accounts are algorithmically boosted to the top and every reply is just obnoxious gibberish.

Another thing I’m noticing about this place vs the other one: the relative rarity of dumb as hell hot takes from absolute roasters in response to even the most banal and non-controversial observations.

While there are still comparatively few of us, can we agree that those posts with, say, a picture of a street in Edwardian Bristol and a picture of the bus station that now dominates it, with some sort of “😭🥺 what happened to us?” lament should definitely stay in the other place?

I saw someone suggest that the thing that saves the US from Trump’s proposed administration cabal is that they’re all pretty mad and/or stupid and won’t actually achieve their goals … feels like Copium but it’s there to be pondered.
