Setting aside the black-letter legal issues (I'm certainly not an expert on victim impact statements or evidence law), this is absolutely BONKERS.
"It was the first time in Arizona judicial history — and possibly nationwide — that AI has been used to create a deceased victim’s own impact statement"

Exhibit #7,682 that we're living in the absolute dumbest timeline: "'Non-Human Behavior' . . . includ[es] . . . using a litter box for the passing of stool, urine, or other human byproducts."
Gov. Greg Abbott backs bill banning 'non-human' behavior in schools
The bill is based on debunked claims that public schools were encouraging so-called furries. Lawmakers have used the claims to funnel public funds to private schools.

Great thread by Professor Kathleen Clark. I'll say it again for the people in the back: what's happening at the FAA makes Teapot Dome look like stealing office supplies.
Important article detailing Elon Musk's corrupt infiltration of the FAA using a SpaceX/DOGE employee, Ted Malaska,
"who arrived at the agency last month with instructions from SpaceX’s owner, Elon Musk, to deploy equipment from the SpaceX subsidiary Starlink across the FAA’s communications network."

To quantify the *alleged* corruption here by comparing it to, oh I don't know, the most generous sum total of all the bribes and kickbacks that exchanged hands during the Teapot Dome Scandal (adjusted for inflation, of course!), this would be 254x more corrupt than the Teapot Dome Scandal.
