I know everyone says not to give in to despair; that there's strength in hope -- and some people who really can't read a room regarding anti-authoritarian sentiment say that we're not *allowed* to despair because we have to save our energy for *the fight.*

I know Elmu referred to the salute controversy as "dirty tricks" -- kind of the same way that Bush I referred to asking legitimate questions that a President should be able to answer as "gotcha politics."
