It's extremely obvious that Pinto is our best option at the 9. Against stout, physical defending from Portland, her hold-up play was so good. I'll be disappointed and perplexed if she's not in the starting 11 at Utah next week.

Frustrating to lose a game like that. But it was a good performance, and the team will be well served by the aggressive attitude that led them to pull a defender and go for the win.

Having watched the presser, I kind of feel bad for Bowley. Clearly, he was given one sound bite with instructions not to reveal anything else. The acerbic responses from Levy were embarrassing. Not a great day for the Courage comms department.

Chicago Stars FC re-signed goalkeeper, Mackenzie Wood, today to keep the third-year goalkeeper in Chicago through 2027.
Wood first joined the Stars in 2023 as a non-roster invitee. While not signed to a full contract at the end of preseason training camp, the Stars did later sign Wood as a NTRP
