And because the Right are entirely predictable and completely incompetent at stats they took that to mean “51% of people in adverts are black”
And that’s NOT FAIR because only 4% of the UK population is black so they’re taking WHITE acting jobs (or words to that effect…🙄)

As a Heidegger scholar, I feel his contributions concerning technology, control and history are more pertinent than ever. But I’m just as interested to see what other phenomenological interpretations can bring to these pressing questions 4/4

The theme, coming from Tanja Staehler and Mahon O’Brien, is an interesting provocation to think about a world that feels like it’s constantly in crisis and respond philosophically. What role does thinking have in the face of technological dominance? 3/4

Heidegger famously quipped, in an interview with der Spiegal, that only a god could save us now. More than a joke, it gets to the heart of his mitigated pessimism about the future: we’re likely doomed, but not so much that a god couldn’t save us. Would he still be that optimistic today? 2/4

For this reason I approve of the earnestness of the AI anti-hypers citing books and essays from the 1980s claiming that word processors will destroy academia. I disagree with them, but yes, let’s stop pretending this is a novel new era. We remain in the information age, just more entrenched. 2/2
