Insurance company statements are worthless. That’s the reason baseline coverage required by the Feds in the ACA exchanges was so important. Insurance companies interpret their own policies at their whim.

The Democratic Leadership could go on the attack, keep it simple, campaign for change and give people something to do (boycott Disney)?

Or they could use weak language, draw a line in the sand for a flawed government program (ACA subsidies) and ask nothing from the citizenry.

The FBI has always been a right wing institution. See all the Democrats that have been FBI director.

Agreed.

This should be a cautionary lesson to all who would post offensive words/ memes online in the event certain elderly politicians pass. If you wouldn’t want your boss, clients or HR to see it, don’t post it.

The first black woman to achieve an extremely prestigious and powerful position in the history of the US did everything by the book. Of course.

The Chuck Schumer fight strategy: I will keep intercepting all your punches with my face until you give up.
September 12, 2025 at 10:24 PM
The Court is routinely chucking precedents upwards of 80 years old in few word do trick orders.

The justices are angry with district judges and seem to say: you know the outcomes we will choose, yet you come to your own conclusions based on existing case law. Outcome then reason, if needed.

Anyone who has watched mock juries argue and come to conclusions understands that a typical person has bizarre beliefs and “logic.”

People have unique and often directly conflicting views. It is unnerving to observe. Polls create the appearance of coherence what are important issues…

This is a fundamentally stupid poll. In the US right now, of course political violence isn’t justified. Around the world and throughout history the opposite is true. Absolute statements often yield absolutely absurd results.
September 12, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Pritzker succeeded because he has the aura of a person who does not mess around and will do whatever it takes to win. Threats of prosecution was one example. Trump rolls bullshitters, opportunists . I would guess Pritzker in language and demeanor reminds him of the guys he didn’t mess with in NY.

Not Biblical. See Matthew 6:5.

Schumer’s razor: if there is a stupid, short sighted, weak political maneuver Schumer will find it.
September 11, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Agreed. The absolutism is absurd. Also, from an international perspective in many places like Ukraine violence is the only answer.

Newsom is the modern personification of the EPA inspector in Ghostbusters. We need Venkman.
September 10, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Once again we are all speculating about the correct strategy because Democratic Lack of Leadership has done no ground work and has no clear plan. The assumption here is that a Dem shutdown plan would be hastily thrown together without total buy in.

It’s the De-motivational party.
September 10, 2025 at 3:18 PM
If the GOP could choose the Democratic leadership, strategy and messaging to maximize the Trump agenda would it look any different than Schumer, Jeffries and the Democratic strategy and messaging this entire year?
September 10, 2025 at 1:07 PM
It’s a variation on the time warp theory of Obama’s birth and his mother’s valiant work to make sure he would be considered an American citizen knowing he would run for President almost a half century later.
September 10, 2025 at 1:19 AM
That is not a denial.

It’s a basic argument for civilization. MAGA is like naw. Kill ‘em.

All part of Operation Sounds Good to the guy with a Punisher sticker on his truck.
September 5, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Exactly. This seems like a repeat of the Pelosi plan to save everyone from a Covid recession. Trump got to sign big checks to millions of people who didn’t need them and giveaway almost a trillion to businesses.

The GOP has destroyed the health system let’s all feel it and get Medicare 4 All.

Pulte probably thought he was going to get the Joe Kernen lap dog treatment and instead gets smacked around by the whip smart Andrew Sorkin. A real crapshoot for politicos on CNBC these days.

Trust doctors? What doctors? 20% of US have no primary. For another 20% the primary is a NP or PA.

Wait months to see a specialist for 5 minutes. Repeat.

Talk to the primary at your wellness visit about any problem you get another bill because it’s “diagnostic.”

I seem to recall bankers receiving the same treatment after the 2008 crisis.

Witness statements not under oath defeat the whole purpose of a fact finding body.
