On #TransDayOfRemembrance, we honor our trans siblings lost to fatal violence and their impact.

We will not stop fighting until trans people are not just able to survive, but thrive and live safe, full, and joyful lives. May our collective grief, reflection, and action lead to a better future.

BREAKING: The Trump administration says it will transfer many of the Department of Education’s programs to other agencies, effectively attempting to dismantle much of the department.

This is an attempt to get around the law, which states that only Congress can unilaterally eliminate the DOE.

Shifting vital education programs across federal agencies weakens civil rights protections, undermines support for low-income and first-generation students, and threatens equal opportunity.

Closing the Education Dept. would harm the very students it exists to serve.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we not only mourn the lives of our trans siblings and neighbors taken too soon, but also demand a cultural shift.

Every person of every gender deserves safety, support, and love—period.

Shame on this administration.

Their latest attempt to dismantle the Dept of Education—during American Education Week—is illegal and immoral. Not only do they want to starve and steal from our students—they want to rob them of their futures.

Anyone who claims to care about children should be livid.

Today is #ESPDay, a moment to pause and appreciate the education support professionals who quite literally keep schools running.

Bussing students to school, feeding them meals, furthering their education, keeping their classrooms clean—education cannot happen without the tireless effort of ESPs.

Last night he posted a screenshot of Trump’s post calling for Seth Meyers to be fired from NBC.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

No one should have to choose between providing their families food or healthcare. Yet Republicans are determined to deny both—they put politics over people. They must end the shutdown without robbing families of basic needs.
