I’m pleased to announce that the City of Somersworth is dispersing additional $ to local food banks to help families during this difficult time

No one should go hungry & I’m sad to see our state & federal leaders ignore the needs of those who struggle the most

While Governor Ayotte and President Trump take away food stamps to pay for tax breaks for billionaires, I promise to fight for families and the workers who make our economy run.

Thank you for the second term.

Trump’s gutting of GEAR UP is a blow to Somersworth’s students & families. Programs like GEAR UP open doors for kids - now those doors are being slammed shut

I am so grateful to @SenatorHassan for showing up today & fighting alongside me for Somersworth

Today I learned that the funding for GEAR UP NH has been cut by Trump. Devastating news for students & teachers who use GEAR UP to help prepare students for college & careers. Somersworth is once again reeling from reckless cuts by state & fed officials who want to dismantle public ed

We’ve accomplished a lot in two years - imagine another term!

More housing is desperately needed! In times like these, we can’t afford leaders who wait for someone else to solve our problems. We need leaders who roll up their sleeves and deliver results here at home

“It feels like what Congress & the President were doing was targeting communities like us”

Cuts to SNAP are having huge effects on granite staters. An estimated 44K NH families are expected to lose benefits that keep them healthy & fed

Of all things to cut, why make people go hungry?

The NHGOP tax cuts for the wealthy are now coming to roost…with the new GOP Governor

New Hampshire’s state budget crunch has been years in the making. Now come the cuts. • New Hampshire Bulletin

Voters want their local public schools well-funded. They recognize the benefits to their children, the opportunities that are provided, and the positive impacts on the community.

It’s a shame the state doesn’t see the value that we all do

The state claims that they are only responsible for the statutorily outlined requirements for education. How convenient

But as far as I understand it, statute doesn’t determine or override constitutional requirements - it’s the other way around

State, school districts spar at Supreme Court hearing over school funding • New Hampshire Bulletin
New Hampshire’s Supreme Court has long been clear: The state is constitutionally required to provide an “adequate” education to its resident students.

Here’s the text of the federal voucher bill they’re working off to fold into reconciliation in January.

It’s a love child between a garden variety wealthy tax shelter and a typical voucher subsidy.
