So, I'm thinking a lot about how a horror is different than a fantasy-action, and about failing a roll.
Why does rolling badly mean failing an action? How can this add tension to the game? I have no answer :D
For Eye of Leviathan, I drafted this, pushing on the costs and consequences of the actions.

And here are some of the images I used. I used a lot more: three different reptiles, a ball bearing dipped in glue, a colonoscopy (yep), some worms, some close-ups of meat and fruit (did you know how scary the macro photo of food are???)

You don't need gen AI, not even if you're not an artist. I'm not an artist, but I wanted to make an illustration of a monster's eye... something like an "eldritch eye." I cannot do by scratch, so I downloaded free images, and mixed them until I got something I was happy with.
Here the result:

I'm not sure if I will ever use it in one of my hundreds of incomplete games, BUT I had fun trying this out.

But of course, player can also modify and repair stuff. These are two "variants" downtime actions they can use in these cases.

I was asking how crafting works in my fantasy hack merging Forbidden Lands and Blades.
Here the answer.
If a player has a blueprint or a formula, they can create an item or an alchemical compound (a potion, a poison, etc.) following this simple rule.

Quantum Coherence is ready! I had a very good time working on it. Are you ready for a CBR+PNK /Run with Time Loop, Paradoxes and Time Travel? #ttrpg #cyberpunk #timeloop @cabinetofcuriosities.games @mythworks.bsky.social

A possible new version. Or a version from another reality.

Finally, this TITANIC news is out, and I'm proud to say I'm the lead designer of the game. It's an incredible honor and privilege to be part of this adventure.

Blades in the Dark: the Movie.
William Defoe as Lord Scurlock and Helena Bonham Carter as Setarra.
That's it. That's the cast.

I'm super late for the Breathless Jam (it ended a couple of days ago), but I'm still working on Dust of Nightmares. And I'm pretty about how it is coming along (especially because even though I'm not a good illustrator, I like to tinker with these characters).

Maybe I will go with the 2-color version?

Because I dropped the pixel art direction, here is a new test for the cover. It's a draft, but I'm quite happy (and yes, I also wrote some content for the game, not just cover and layout). #BreathlesseJam2

Because @rpdeshaies.farirpgs.com postponed the end of the Breathless 2 game jam... I decided to rework from scratch the layout (instead of completing the game, of course).
That's the first test.
(Yep, I started playing Metaphor Refantazio.)

You need to protect your old copy with a plastic bag.
(I should work on the game, instead I spent the whole day toying with the cover - less than 2 days to the end of #BreathlessJam2 )

100 pages later...

It's 1989. You're ten years old, and you are happy. You stumbled upon this game at a dusty used book stall. You can't know it yet, but your life is about to change.
(It seems I will participate in the #BreathlessJam2 )
