Completely agree, but few Democrats have been talking about this. We need to treat the condition itself and not the symptoms. My hope is that a candidate will be forward-thinking enough to steer the conversation where it needs to go. These problems did not begin with Trump, they ended with Trump.

FWIW, I am willing to support any candidate who turns away donor money. The American people deserve a president who refuses to believe that corporations are people. That utter nonsense laid the groundwork for the mess we are in right now. Politicians should be public servants, not businessmen.

Reject your corporate donors and fund a 100 percent grassroots campaign in 2028. We are going to need a president that is not centrist or compromising. We will need sweeping social reforms in order to undo the insanity of this current administration. If you are willing to do that, you have my vote.
