Resist and make a stand. Pedestrian overpasses make great places to be seen and show others they aren’t alone - even in ruby red areas like Upstate SC.

I’ve protested on the street, at the library, and in the park - but I’ve never protested from an overpass before. Until today! Finding new ways to get out the message. #FireElon #DumpDoge #Democracy

There is power in being present in public space, seeing that you are not the only one filled to bursting with outrage.

If President Trump’s administration is successful at impounding federal funding - even for a few days - local advocacy groups who provide direct support without federal funding are going to be critical to getting families through this spiteful chaos.

Donate and support those helpers now.

Go see FLOW. Went out for an impromptu date night with my better half to see the film, half out of curiosity and half to support thoughtful animation. We adored the story! A dialogue-free wonder of adventure and exploration 🐈‍⬛

For an easy-to-navigate web application to explore spatial distribution of race & ethnicity - I recommend Ben Schmidt’s “All of Us.”

Students enjoy looking at their favorite cities and spaces to see how segregation manifests today.

The Parable of the Polygons is a wonderfully simple, abstract simulation about segregation. Great for getting conversations started about gentrification, housing and environmental justice.

Technical/community college faculty in red states: please take visible steps to show your #LGBTQ+ ally status. On your office door, on your lanyard, in your classroom policies. Things are going to get so much worse, and our students need to know *now* who supports them.
