This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

Nancy Pelosi never let her caucus break on important votes. Chuck Schumer can't even keep his caucus together to protect 10 million people's healthcare.

Hey is there a material difference between a tax credit and giving people money?
Merkley: "We were hearing the president yesterday saying, 'Well, I don't want to do these tax credits. Maybe I want to send out checks instead.' Ok, Mr President, you have a new plan? Let's get these tax credits out now & you'll have a year to develop the details & not have people left in the lurch"

Could just give Medicare to everyone 🤷‍♂️
Seriously? He has no idea how insurance works or how to govern. I’ll never get over 77 million people thinking a man this incompetent belongs anywhere near the Oval Office.

Trump admin going to the Supreme Court to avoid feeding the poor. Pure evil.

I remember when Tucker had the 8pm spot at Fox, watching it would make me blood red mad.

I managed to catch the first 10 minutes of Jesse Waters for the first time ever tonight and it was honestly just so bizarre. Didn’t even make me mad - honestly made me laugh. Just a window into another world.

The expected return on all this AI investment is that your labor becomes worthless in 3-5 years.

Whether that results in liberation or slavery depends on policy decisions.

The fact that Trump is asking Thune to nuke the filibuster will only strengthen spines on the Dem side.

Pretty much every hurricane this year has turned into a category five. We’ve been lucky none really made landfall on mainland U.S. this year.

Especially with the way FEMA money is being politicized based on which party controls the state.

It’s crazy they’re not even manufacturing consent for invading Venezuela. They’re just doing it. Most people in the US don’t even know there’s a conflict.

Given the divergence of the economy (top 10% does 50% of consumption), companies may still be able to charge higher prices without losing much volume. While further pricing out bottom 90%.
“.. their intent is ultimately to get back to prior margins,” Mr. Spence said on the bank’s earnings call last week. “Which would mean over time, you would see continued price increases as a mechanism to move the cost through.”

Ok Mike Johnson please explain the point the President is trying to make here???
Q: What does it say that president released a video of him pooping on the American people?

MIKE JOHNSON: You can argue he's probably the most effective person who has ever used social media. He's using satire to make a point. He's not calling for the murder of his political opponents.

I say this often but it’s worth repeating. The Trump admin could’ve coasted. He could’ve just taken credit for IIJA, CHIPS, and IRA, watched interest rates fall, and pass a tax cut.

Instead, we get sky-high tariffs, federal occupation of cities, an AI bubble, and a healthcare crisis

The big problem right now is the lack of a market to sell into. Our farmers basically fed every pig in China until this year.

Input costs are a huge problem, though. Monopolies exist in seed, pesticides, fertilizer, and machinery. But the Trump administration isn’t doing shit about them.
Brooke Rollins says farmers need a bailout in October 2025 because "the cost of inputs under Joe Biden went up."
