Finally, an important contribution of the present work is that the adopted global methodology of the CF context can be used as a common framework for other monogenic diseases. 3/5

We adopted a data-driven systems biology approach to retrieve CF dysregulated signalling pathways. Our findings point to candidate therapeutic targets such as SYK and PI3KCA, for which specific inhibitors are already known. 2/5
