I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

What we’re witnessing in America is what happens when disordered discourse captures a political party, then the state itself. The Republican Party was the first to fall - abandoning truth for conspiracy, ideology for grievance, and policy for performative outrage.

This man cannot become mayor of a town he fundamentally misunderstands.
In Midtown, where one of Andrew Cuomo's staffers is holding a parking spot for him in front of the polling site he's soon expected to vote at.

Cuomo is registered to vote a few blocks from here, but still driving over.

but don't call it genocide.

I just saw on Facebook that people are reframing this article to say that there's more antarctic sea ice now than there was in 1979 which, while technically true, is further proof that the Internet was a mistake.

2025 summer minimum sea ice extent in Antarctic tied for second-lowest on record
Antarctic sea ice likely reached its annual minimum extent on March 1, 2025. The 2025 summer minimum extent is statistically tied with 2022 and 2024 for second-lowest in the 47-year satellite record.

Spot on.

"The word stupid doesn’t really suffice for the full level of idiocy we’ve now reached. It’s as if we’ve attained a new state of human mindlessness, a kind of species milestone."

WOW. Watch a constitutional law expert completely DEBUNK Republicans’ censorship crusade, while articulating exactly how Donald Trump is threatening freedom of speech. 🔥

Jay Powell is about to get lit up like we can't even imagine. What he does next will determine how long this goes on, but probably he'll just get fired and replaced by someone who puts us into 4-5 years of stagflation.

How many stories would the NYT write if Biden had said, "Did I say that? I can't believe I said that" about something he'd said days prior?

But in this bizzaro hellscape:

Ahead of the inauguration, migrant shelters south of the Rio Grande are far from full, a reflection of the tougher measures imposed on both sides of the border.

I wish I hadn't been paying attention.

The guy's a clown with no respect for or understanding of the job he's trying to get and actually seems proud of that.

The people trying to get him there are embarrassingly inept.

I thought we had hit rock bottom, but it's just.. *chef's kiss*.
