I’m in a similar boat (and from the same church — G.C.C. — IYKYK) but I don’t have this kind of conversation with my brain much anymore. I don’t think it’s because I’m healed; I think it’s because the first go-around broke me so much that I don’t know if I’ll ever regain the same spark I had.

The first go-around I watched the inauguration. This time, I’m not even watching news clips about the inauguration. This 💩 might be the norm, but it ain’t normal. It’s a damn tragedy.

I turned on the tv this morning just in time to see Gayle King gabbing with Jason Aldean about how 🍊🤡 “tells it like it is” and congratulating him for his upcoming performance at the inauguration.
