A great in depth write-up of why debugging Rust is in the state it is in right now.

This person singlehandedly took upon this challenge and contributes to both llvm and rust to make it better. Big respect for that work @walnut356.bsky.social ! Thanks!
So you want better debug info?

Thanks YouTube for spoiling DS2 for me today. Joining God of War Ragnarok spoiled for me three years ago.

We must be better than this.

Got myself a reverse trike plastic model while waiting for DS2 release next month.

It was an awesome building experience.

Currently on day two of trying to install jetpack (not even buildroot) and ros so that I can use it for my robot.
Wild to imagine how many man-millennia wouldn’t be wasted if NVidia actually provided official and up-to date yocto and buildroot support.

Just finished Build your own Shell on codecrafters. Interesting to see under the hood of something I use every day.

Key takeaway being that I need to have a better look at lexing and parsing. Not being a CS student these are completely new for me and I’d like to learn to do these without bruteforce

I am pleased to introduce liltcp - a toy networking stack / tutorial on making async glue for smoltcp with stm32h7xx-hal and lilos.

This is a first step in my efforts to explain and (hopefully make better) some parts of embedded Rust that have some rough edges

Built a shelf extension for my desk, lots of new space to store devkits.

PSA: Every tmux session/pane/window has the same environment as when the first session (actually a tmux) server was started. This is important mostly when starting tmux automatically as part of shell config.
When the global env is changed in the meantime, the changes are not present in new sessions.

This is the kind of mental state I strive to achieve.

Stray is great btw, I highly recommend to anyone who likes post-apocalyptic worlds.

Happy to report that after two hours of debugging why ethernet wasn’t working on my H7 nucleo, I found out that I lost a jumper when I was travelling with it.

Now back to liltcp - a demo of async first glue between HALs and smoltcp.
