Our GAPs Return Migration report elucidates how stigma caused by seeing a return as a failure & expecting that returnees has to support all family members impacts returns. Also, some migrants left Poland due to fear of compatriots who can take side of their persecutors in their countries of origin.

Wczoraj w TVP3 rozmawialiśmy o Centrach Integracji Cudzoziemców. Niesamowite jest to, że trzeba tłumaczyć tak podstawowe rzeczy jak to, że CIC-e NIE SĄ miejscami zakwaterowania. Cieszę się, że udało się też opowiedzieć o tym, że integracja służy bezpieczeństwu nas wszystkich.

Wczoraj w TVP3 rozmawialiśmy o Centrach Integracji Cudzoziemców. Niesamowite jest to, że trzeba tłumaczyć tak podstawowe rzeczy jak to, że CIC-e NIE SĄ miejscami zakwaterowania. Cieszę się, że udało się też opowiedzieć o tym, że integracja służy bezpieczeństwu nas wszystkich.

After @badaczkinagranicy.bsky.social 3rd International Seminar we see that militarisation of border regimes became routinised and application of border violence is normalised. Regardless of place, time, and ruling parties, the EU borders remain more and more a negation of what the Union stands for.

I'm happy that my paper got partly oudated. With Nasim Mondal we wrote how rarely the migrants on the PL-BY border can reach the public with their discourse: bit.ly/4ghBxRq. During a public hearing, first time two people shared their pushback testimonies face to face with the government officials.

I am so happy to have the opportunity to present & discuss my critical reflection about the humanitarian narratives on the border crisis and their ineffectiveness. Maybe I will publish some short text on this important topic soon.
