- SAF victories do not signal any end to the atrocities. Theirs only follow a different rationale and are cloaked in the "legitimacy" of the remnants of the Sudanese state.

The AU and the UN need to finally step in, as per article 4(h) and the Responsibility to Protect.

The involvement of all neighbours should be monitored closely, and not solely #Uganda 's. #Egypt 's discomfort when facing #RSF 's rapid advance has led to the current successes by the #SAF in Khartoum and in between the Blue and White Nile.

The situation of Sudanese in #SouthSudan and South Sudanese in #Sudan is all the more precarious, in a context of pogroms on both sides of the border.

This will further prolong the war in Sudan and worsen the brewing conflict in South Sudan.

A mediation effort by #Turkey, although as unlikely to succeed to end the war as every other such endeavour for 21 months, might succeed in just that aspect, as it aims to end conflict not between Burhan and Hemedti, but between the #SAF and the #UAE.
