Of course, there is an obsession with mode. I genuinely believe that a $445m+ project does not address the key issues with the wider PT network. Investing in frequency, service levels and span of hours, can drive patronage growth. BRT or LR is about land use growth, ignoring the problems.

This was bound to happen. Demand-side fixes like cheaper fares don't improve transport in the long run. QLD is banking on it, but they are doing the inverse too. It's the supply, i.e. frequency and reliability, that gets passengers on board.
