The Atmosphere's energy is uniquely positive, right?

There was a lot of positivity at the launch of the web, too, but this is different: wiser, and more committed to fixing serious, potentially existential problems which noone could have imagined 30 years ago. I love it.

PS I post this from Obsidian via GitHub to my experimental wiki using MarkPub. I'd love to move this wiki into standard.site. Any thoughts of how much work this would take?
Standard.site - One schema. Every platform.
Standard.site provides shared lexicons for long-form publishing on AT Protocol. Making content easier to discover, index, and move across the ATmosphere.

Australia has had, since I was born, very restrictive alcohol laws to prevent under18s even *seeing* alcohol for sale.

Australia also has one of the world's biggest teenage alcohol problems.

Banning is a failing strategy from flailing politicians wanting to look like they're doing something.

Mine is published using massivewiki, aka markpub (local markdown-> github->web). Hoping to see standard.site support added this year (👀 @band.myatproto.social, @peterkaminski.wiki)

Feeling exactly the same.
. Blacksky was not built for me.
. The fact that it can be built fills me with hope.
. These ideas are not incompatible.

PS love the framing in your backstage public vault, btw. Referenced it in mine, which I hope to move to standard.site soon :) experiments.myhub.ai

Blacksky is 100% the spirit of atproto and it’s been incredible to watch them achieve so much. The world is better because of self sustaining communities like them. Also I personally donated, the company donated

Story's with a read, too.

There'll need to be a general upgrade of most CMSs, plus a huge amount of implementation work, to say nothing of comm strategy consulting and training.

But first the benefits must be demonstrated. I'm betting that scientific organisations and newsrooms may provide the best early adopters.

Most of the world's websites are created by organisations by subcontracting build, design, maintenance and often content to freelancers and small webshops.

What if all those organisations decided to publish their website onto the Atmosphere, and integrate their web and social media comms?

Tiny mistake, like leaving the "don't" out of Google's old motto (which, to be fair, they did themselves drop ages ago)

The Australian Capital Territory would like a word (and yes, this is their coat of arms, and those are swans).

I'm trying to gauge the level of interest & understanding outside the usual suspects in the Brussels bubble. So...

What sort of event was it? Were there many people? Much interest? Good questions?
