These "death of cinema" claims around the potential Netflix/WB merger don't concern me as much as it speeding up the death of physical media. 😔

Imagine thinking that Wes Streeting is the guy to lead anything.

He looks like every kid who was two years below you in school that would confidently walk up to your friend group and start talking despite none of you knowing who the fuck he was and that this is not how friends are made.

My hot take is that Shakespeare is not the pinnacle of culture and if the big names to sell it to kids are Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, and Helen Mirren then maybe take the hint that there might be more relevant things that will speak to kids.

At this point a Damon Albarn vocal on a Gorillaz song is about as welcome as M Night Shyamalan turning up in one of his own films.

I've started noticing random songs appearing under artists on Tidal. Real shit ones too, so I'll assume AI.

Benefit of the doubt, someone's uploaded with the same artist name and the service is conflating, but a track appearing under Soft Play on Tidal and Slaves on Spotify is 100% intentional.

Imagine turning up for your job and being asked to bulldoze part of The White House. I can't help but feel that's one of those situations where you ask the senior member to take over.

I wonder if it's possible to do a reverse request and ask BBC 6Music to NOT play that awful Dropkick Murphys song for their Scorsese Six of the Best. You know the one.

For years I genuinely thought Top Gear had a deployed airbag as a show mascot. Presumably an inside joke from a mishap in an earlier series I wasn't privy to.

Even funnier that they'd given it such a posh name, "Jeremy Clarkson". Like the airbag went to private school paid for by Paddington Bear...

Going after Polanski for his teeth, eh?

Should we:

A. Turn it into a talking point about the state of UK dentist cost/appointments

B. Google "nigel farage teeth" to admire what I assume are perfect pearly whites

C. Not give a fuck because physical appearance has no bearing on anything here?

I'm rewatching BBC's Ghostwatch and it's absolutely insane that I watched this when it was broadcast. I was 9!

My memory is hazy though. I don't think I watched it all. We either went to bed or we taped it to watch the following day and turned it off (too scared). 🤔

6Music celebrating Newcastle with their Six of the Best and in comes Sting, singing in that Geordie patois.

Just catching up on clips of Zack Polanski being yelled at by Carol Malone.

Screaming about someone not doing research and then following it up with anecdotes and vibes is a bold strategy.

I don't understand how SquareSpace can sponsor so many YouTube videos when nobody makes websites anymore.

Do people get called noobs these days?

All this groundbreaking research about autism coming out of the US is impressive, but when is RFK going to start announcing the cause of this walking brain death that the Trump administration collectively has?

Why wouldn't Starmer have confidence in Mandelson as US ambassador? He and Trump clearly have a lot in common.

I'd argue that the creepy silhouette in the scrubbed version is way more effective than the original.
They erased the new Banksy mural in London. But the stain remains.

Jesus Christ, I barely made it through the *trailer* for John Candy: I Like Me. I don't stand a chance with the whole thing.

You'd be surprised how often the song Wild Wild West swirls around my brain, but every time it makes me think of this.

I had to look at a YouTube Short earlier and the AI upscaling on the thing was horrific. The kind of shit that Topaz spits out when you use default settings.

Like, if you're one of the biggest tech companies in the world at least figure out upscaling before pushing it live. It's just embarrassing.

I forgot that Cardi B makes an appearance in Fast and Furious 9, delivering all her lines like Tommy Wiseau.

Reading up on the XBox Ally and trying to imagine the "why would I buy this if I already have a Steamdeck??" commenters going about their days.

"Why are Pepsi selling drinks when I'm not even thirsty?"

Driving by a forecourt of used cars screaming "who is this foooorrr??"

That new Twenty One Pilots song is very catchy.

It's just a shame my brain keeps defaulting to "he's putting on a gun show". 💪

I couldn't possibly comment on whether Noel Clarke would use his position of power to do gross things, but I do know that when I saw him promoting his own film yeeeaaars ago he came across as an arrogant cunt. 🤷‍♂️

Remember when we were always told we need knowledge of history to avoid repeating the mistakes?

I do wonder whether people would have naturally rediscovered their nazi lifestyles without the textbooks to guide them, though...
