Been away for a hot minute! Here's what I've been up to:
- Parametric prosthetic finger that works between 5th percentile female and 95th percentile male
- A WLED stop light for my son to keep him from waking us up at 5am (it didn't work)
- NormiePad, just a standard number pad keyboard
(Cont...)
After fixing some issues with my previous listing, the StrataPad is back online!

Yo whaddup! We've got a new remix!

I took the base design and added a small pocket to it where you can add your own magsafe (er...pixelsnap) magnets in the middle of the print. It works mostly okay, about as well as a 3d printed phone case usually does.

Just dropped a new product!

The Pixel 10 and the Pixelsnap charger were delivered on Thursday, I started the design on Friday and finished it on Saturday night! A few pictures later and we're ready to release it to the world!

Bummer. Looks like the Gen 4 Pixel Watch won't have great support for aftermarket charging stands.

Unless I design a stand stand? Feels wasteful though...

Well, the poker chip sized design wasn't flowing very well and then the ram rod got stuck and the bolt holding it in place actually snapped. So it's out of commission until I get Injekto 3 up and running

Might really need a better compressor than the free dumpy Harbor Freight one I currently have
I think today I'll work on a poker chip-sized redesign. One more tool print in the eco-resin to test. Then we'll use the fancy heat resistant resin for the "final" tool!
Should've used mold release, but I was feeling antsy about doing it. BUT I think it proves it worked, more or less.

I still think PLA doesn't like being so thin and it's honestly probably too brittle, but it's what I've got right now.

Next version will be closer to a poker chip in size :)

Quick thread on the design process of this little thingy

What do you think, more of this?
I looked around a fair bit for something similar and was surprised to come up dry.

So, for this design you give a little room to the measurements you take. From there, you can design to how you think you're going to orient the print and the layer height you'd want to use.

A couple design projects this weekend, but I'm still working on the second.

This one is a nice, easy little print. A magnetic mount for an 8mm wide LED strip. I needed it to mount some lights into a 3d printer enclosure at work.

The neat part about these tariffs more than doubling the cost of my electronics, leading me to put a fat pause on all those orders is that now I have a good reason to get back into my 3D print recycling work...

Your first design is never perfect. It occurred to me that the cars look better nose down on the wall, so here's a new mount:

Kiddo and I went to the Lego store this weekend and he picked out one of the Williams F1 cars. We built it later that day, but since he's only 4 years old, he immediately broke it like 12 times. So I designed and printed a little bracket to wall-mount it to keep it safe! :)

Did some funsies on this iteration by selectively masking and copper pouring. The silkscreen with copper under vs without doesn't do as much as I was hoping, but I'm pretty happy with the effect overall!

Trying my hand at 3d printing keycaps to be used on the StrataPad.

My custom dye sub from Signature Plastics cost me about $10.25 per board since this is pretty low quantity.

3D printed costs me under 10 cents per set.

Not as much detail as dye sub caps, but it's close enough.

Was set to order a new round of StrataPads but remembered we just got into the Chinese New Year, so I guess nothing's happening until Feb haha

v1.1 has some good updates to it, including a new (more robust) power switch, some small layout changes, and some artwork changes (that I hope work)

Weekend design project was for some brackets to mount my wife's Govee lights to the back of her monitors. Problem was that the back of the monitors are curved, so we needed something compliant that could match the curvature better.

They're working well so far!
