Halloween 3 bravely asks the question “what if Zap Rowsdower was the lead of a horror film”
I mean, it’s more affordable overall, can have a solid open/ending that you can actually see (or hope to see in the case of One Piece), and can tell way more than just cape stories.
Honestly, it’s like Netflix and Blockbuster in some ways. I’ll have to check that video out!

The new movies are ok. Anno’s in a better place and tells a story that took way too long to release, but is about moving beyond what you were.
It also has the best franchise joke, where Asuka refers to her biologically frozen body as “the curse of EVA.”

Oh, totally! I get where you’re coming from. Some kits I’ve built have you assemble the hands, and they could have done that here too.

Guess it’s time to break out some white paint. Lord knows I had to do that with the Astray hands for the old 1/100. They were molded in just red.

But still wearing Lt.Comm pips, and eventually being given a field promotion to Commander during message in a bottle and then an official promotion to captain when they have regular communications with Starfleet. Character growth as indicated by rank rather than hairstyle!

My favorite pitch is that Janeway would be chief science officer (with a skeleton staff due to it being not a science mission) and forced into the Captain’s chair via dead man’s boots because half the senior staff was gutted. You could have a slow evolution of Janeway into wearing the red uniform

Yeah, Voyager is one of those shows where small tweaks to the execution would have been amazing.
Like a relaxing of the dress code. Or a set swap mechanic for the corridors so we could see areas under repair or damaged easily. Less of a status quo button and more of an ongoing issue.

Awesome! I’ve wanted to meet both of them for a while. She was great with RoosterTeeth while she was there, and LeVar is just my childhood at this point.

I was also the one person who used their free book a month stipend, which got me a copy of the now apparently rare Transformers: Legends. With the cover ripped off so I couldn’t sell it… and dumb little me, only vaguely remembering Beast Wars at the time.
