Yes, that one. It's been awhile since the good old #PSP #coding and ethical bug finding days. Returning to my roots one could say. Nowadays my spare time, consists been a security researcher. #Linux forever.
#Linux What a month it's been. Have been tempted only once to run Windows. As some production software can be glitchy under wine. Might have to spin up a VM. Don't fancy dual booting. No longer use Windows filesystem format on storage mediums. Maybe in the future I'll try ltsc Windows.

With several changes and improvements in the Bad Update universe, I've been quiet this week working on a full beginner level guide to go from stock to learning how to run Bad Update with plugins, homebrew, backing up different games, and more!

#linux quirks. Got to love quirks between Manjaro, and Arch Linux. Usually, I stick to installing Arch from scratch. Tried Manjaro on another PC. Has some proton/driver issues. Probably due to what it's auto installing with the installer. Sorry end users, stick to Windows, or Steamos for gaming.

Been playing games on Linux for awhile now. It's been mostly amooth sailing. Other than experiencing annoying ntfs, permission issues. A quick convert to btrfs on secondary drives, and all was well. Sadly, MHWild has dropped off the map. Guess I'll head back to MHWorld🤷‍♀️😅 #gaming#linux#linuxgaming

#tech #linux #windows I'll be spending my time, installing a custom Linux os from the ground up. No more annoying obfuscation, just clear logs of wtf is going on with my os. I'll never touch a Windows machine for the rest of my life.

#tech #linux #windows This stopped after ripping it out again. End user data, mining operating systems, are a pain in the ass to deal with. So, I'm thinking I'm back, full time with Linux. No longer will adapt to the crapfest, that is Windows.
#tech #linux #windows After three decades using Windows on my primary PC. I'm done, I'm done with the creepy crap it does by default. Even under an Enterprise edition. Disabed all telemetry, yet somehow feedback app was still responding to accidental windows+f key combination.

Well, this Samsung dvd drive has had it. Pot finally gave up the ghost. So, I'll probably flash the bios, and do a disc drive deletion. Haven't soldered in quite some time. Hopefully it's like riding a bike, or I'll be looking for a new Xbox. Not sure my eyes are good enough for path trace fixing😅

This Samsung drive in my cystal 1.6 xbox is screwed. Alas, I'm still trying to repair it. Someone mangled the laser pot. My rubber belts were too tight. Spent an hour yesterday adjusting the pot with my multi meter. I'm leaning towards the laser is gone, or the PCB needs recapping or replaced. #tech

#tech update. Through tedious searching, renaming system files, and deleting specific bitlocker registry entries. Bitlocker is no more, I've multiple offsite backups. So, it's useless to me😅
#tech Dear Microsoft, stop throwing a fit when someone disconnects a SSD, reboots, and later reconnects said SSD. Only for bitlocker to scream about enumerating. This is why we love Linux, move anything you like. Resign, and relock. Universal identifiers instead of this nutty address system when?🤔😆

Felt inspired to use my PSP Go more lately, so I'm upgrading it with an M2 to MicroSD card adapter and flashing with permanent ARK-4 custom firmware to easily run emulators and whatever else. So yep — let's do that!

#retro update. PS3 slim, repasted, and upgraded with a 500GB SSD. She runs cool, and amazing. Original 1.6 crystal Xbox, repasted, and upgraded with a 2TB hard drive. Sadly the disc drive is kaput. Disc drive delete incoming, and a resurrected Xbox 360, repasted, and cleaned. Needs a new shell😈🤘

Apparently, I'm hilariously out of practice with old tech. Forgot that you need a sata to ide adapter. To you know, have pins on the IDE side. Many cable customizations later, decided to buy a Startech instead😅 #retro

Don't worry, we went microscopic for this one.

Discovered I've bought a 1.6 Xbox, mod chip it is. In the meantime, will be rebuilding, and upgrading to a 2TB hard drive. #xbox #modding #retro
The fun of reviving old consoles, makes me feel ancient. Working on an original crystal Xbox, with a possible dying hard drive. Might have to get physical to obtain this eeprom. I won't be using the spotlight, and stripped IDE wire tsop approach. I used during my younger days to bridge the points😅

It took some troubleshooting, mostly on me trying to use the GUI out there when the Python scripts themselves work the best, but I've now reflashed a 1.6 OG Xbox with XycloMod! Love seeing the impossible happen.

Check it out if you haven't already, great project! www.xbox-scene.info/forums/topic...
