Congestion pricing in NYC has worked and has become popular. Cities like Boston should follow.

After a year of the first American program of its kind, there’s enough data to recommend the idea.

Sadly this is so obvious (and appalling) analyzing the data isn't really necessary. All you have to do is looks at the road designs and lack of pedestrian infrastructure in these neighborhoods.

Ambulance Data Reveals That Boston Drivers Are 4 Times More Likely to Run Over Pedestrians From Black Neighborhoods - Streetsblog Massachusetts

Had a blast at @icaboston.bsky.social on #BostonFamilyDays! We love museums and are happy to support them with membership and tickets purchases when we can, but this awesone program allows us and so many other families to explore so much more than we'd otherwise be able to.

Somehow my 6yo's new favorite song is none other than Tears for Fears's 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World.' He wants to listen to it on repeat at bedtime...and I'm totally into it! 👨‍🎤

Just bought this new (to me) bike! I love our long tail cargo bike, but I needed something lighter and smaller for commuting, and this fits the bill! 😃🚲

Greatly appreciate @hcrichardson.bsky.social 's thoughtful insights in my inbox every morning. Though her increasingly frequent references to the 1850s is growing concerning. Today's post drawing parallels to Anson Burlingame's 1856 speech "Defense of Massachusetts" gives me chills.

I'm still fired up after watching this hearing days ago! The Republican's plan totally backfired. Instead of getting skewered, our Mayor clearly, calmly and respectfully demonstrated just how stupid and absolutely full of shit they are. So proud of my Mayor and my City!! ❤️👊
If Republicans in Congress want to help make our country safe, I have some ideas for them.

Horrifying. And sadly, it is not surprising or even unusual.
The State Police are investigating the death of a prisoner over the weekend in a facility near the central New York prison where another inmate was fatally beaten by guards in December.

A 22-year-old inmate at Mid-State Correctional Facility in Marcy, N.Y., died Saturday. Nine inmates said he was viciously beaten by corrections officers.

Boston next?
Congestion pricing works. After one month in NYC:

↗️ Bus trips up 21% on weekends
⚡ Some car routes = 59% faster at peak
🌎 A MILLION fewer cars downtown

London & Singapore, now NYC proved it - smart pricing creates better cities. Toronto next?

A million cars have disappeared: What NYC is like after one month of congestion pricing
Congestion pricing began on January 5. One month in, traffic is down, public buses are faster, and transit ridership is up.

Really enjoyed visiting one of our local School Streets this morning at drop off time. It was magical watching children safely walk, scoot and cycle up to the school gate, and see them kick a football about with their mates. So proud of this scheme ☺️

As a resident of an abutting neighborhood, I have my fair share of concerns about this project. Ultimately, though, I think it's an incredible opportunity to improve the stadium and the Park for all. I look forward to bringing my sons down the street to women's pro soccer games. chng.it/Y9Tqmq7S2q
