It’s fair to criticize leaders after disasters, but blaming LA for damage during hurricane-force winds is misguided. Fighting fires in such conditions is impossible, and even in tropical storm-force winds, firefighters face near-impossible odds. They’re doing all they can in an unwinnable situation.
