Should you avoid IV iron in an iron deficient pt who was recently transfused?

Many fear iron overload, as 1U RBC transfusion contains ~200mg iron (primarily within RBCs). Is this a problem?

On that note, (unsolicited 😏) tips on Giving Feedback — from an* art director:

✦ Unsolicited feedback is often unwelcome, unnecessary & unhelpful. (Lots of reasons for that**)

✦ Abruptly starting with something like "You should"? Then you should stop right there! It's better framed as a question →

I can’t stress this strongly enough - wear a mask. Get the best respirator you can afford that fits your face and wear it consistently & properly.

Covid is a pre-existing condition for many insurers. You do NOT want Long Covid.

If you’re fortunate enough to still have your health - protect it.
