There must be more websites where you can showcase your artwork. Don't let this get you down.
That being said, a break sounds like a good idea for you. Finish your requests, take a brief sabbatical, and come back when you're in a better headspace. You shouldn't give up something you love doing.

One of my FGC friends introduced me to the Manga a few years ago, and I'm glad it got a devoted anime series. I can't wait to watch it myself.
