I'm pretty happy about this. Its an optional paid service that makes a really awesome feature of Bluesky more accessible, and isn't trying to sell your data or force ads on you. Just an honest exchange of service for money. It's not going to pay all the bills, but its a step in the right direction.

best outcome: straightforward apology, detailed timeline of reporting, account takedown, razing the invite tree and spam account which created 100+s accounts, layout of medium- and long-term plans to address the root cause, and how it affects the priorities of other planned items, such as federation
I used to think there was an immense moral hazard in forfeiting Twitter to the Nazis, since bad news editors were still using Trending Topics as an assignment editor. I no longer believe that. That Earth has been scorched.
I think it’s okay for most people to just let it go.
