I’m Iranian, so it’s such a shock to me! We use saffron in everything! I’m going to try in my backyard next year 😆 Saffron in Canada!!!

I bet! Just a take a little snack and maybe water bottle 😆 He doesn’t take a break, even to drink water! I have no idea how someone of his age can be so in shape. And at the end he said “See you next time!” 🥹

Agents are told, literally, that they’re acting on minister’s behalf, with absolute power on entry or refusal, and their word is final.
Majority of us non-whites non-Canadian-borns have gone through these detainments. Not as bad as USA, but as unpleasant, depending on whatever the agent’s bias is.

…for 10 hours, without a single explanation. A star of a their field, a doctor living here for 10 years, returning from a vacation to Japan. They were questioned about their position on everything any Iranian has ever done!
CBSA does what CBSA does. They have absolute power at entry points.

What’s odd to me is that people (specially this PBO who should know better), seem to forget why we do care about our credit rating and debt-to-GDP ratio and all: To have room for maneuver in the face of crisis! Like today!!!
As he says in his letter: Future challenges! We ARE facing one!

It was explained that the revenue generated from this tax was much less than expected, because the sales had dropped significantly as a result of it. Drop in sales also jeopardized some 2000 jobs.
Things aren’t always 0-1s. There are nuances involved.

Their name is MAGA? 😒

The nerve of him! Our GDP was supposed to be above 2% in 2025, now we’ll be lucky if it gets to 1% thanks to his tariffs. The uncertainty and chaos he’s created has basically stopped all major investments. World was doing well and on the way to completely bounce back from the Covid hit.

Why our parliament is like this? I don’t see this kind of behaviour in the US congress, shouting when someone has the floor. Most of the time I can’t even hear full sentences. It’s ridiculous that it’s allowed. Elementary school children get scolded if they do this.

Several seat Liberals didn’t get was due to vote split. In case of MP d’Entremont, he won by a couple hundred in the riding, where NDP had about 1500 votes. Even Greens had more votes than difference. The riding is not MAGA conservative. There are many such seats.

No I’m not talking about the “launch” of the programs. All things I said in my post are “these” liberals. “They” have committed to pharmacare and childcare, “they” have expanded dentalcare, “they” have made the school lunch permanent and tax filing automatic. We should be careful about distinctions.
November 5, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Yeah a conservative party that commits to childcare & pharmacare, expands dentalcare, makes the school lunch program permanent, makes the tax filing for low-incomes automatic so they get their benefits, fights notwithstanding clause in court, celebrates pride. Sure. It’s just a conservative party.
