Had a nice weekend. Did some cooking after years! Nova Scotia peach galette to say goodbye to the summer, and Persian pomegranate-pistachio meatballs with saffron rice cake to celebrate the arrival of fall 🍁🍂

We don’t print money 🤦🏻♀️ This has been explained again and again! The government issues bonds. BoC buys them to create ease of finances. It’s different than “printing money” because it’s reversible, as seen below. It’s a widely accepted tool in the face of unprecedented financial challenges.

Peyto Lake in the Banff National Park, captured 2 days ago. It’s crazy how beautiful Canada is. I haven’t used any filters; the water is that blue! This is a “glacier-fed lake”, and the colour comes from the glacial rock flour flowing into the lake during summer.

Yes, but the campaign is not administered by them. It’s an outreach program of NICHD, under NIH, within HHS. As you see, interestingly NICHD is named after the much more capable relative of RFK Jr.

Here are the 2021 results, with ~800k students. NDP wins the popular vote & becomes the official opposition!

Just posting this to show you how non-representative the sample is. Even at the high of their fortunes, Poilievre’s favourability was two digit negative. This was constantly remarked even by the conservatives.

I just watched the scrum and, with approaches of Carney, Jagmeet, & Blanchet in answering the dumb questions, the circus was less irritating that I had expected.

The guy opens his mouth and it’s like the sound of scratching fingernails on a chalkboard to me 😖 Not his sound, rather the way he talks, the snarkiness, the nastiness, it fills me with a feeling that is not fear or disgust, but… it’s grima! It’s exactly grima!
