We read this in my Catholic Book Club last December. It's great, and the movie they made last year was good too!

limiting the number of people/locations you can investigate in a day. It starts with the crime scene, then expands to let you explore the surrounding location, then expands again for off-site spots, then bottlenecks at the end of Day 1 for you to go home & think about the case. Pretty fun so far.

I mean, I pick one up and put one down to listen to or read the other, but yes, I am in the throes of reading many books. Though I gave up on Poison Squad because it was getting into the weeds a bit and was also kind of gross.
