I don't recall him getting hit that many times in the head with a baseball, so racism clearly is the only reason for this.

Ah, Mike, purple Bucks County went solidly blue in last night. Incumbent DA and ICE-loving sheriff are out, former Moms for Liberty Central Bucks school board has 4 new Democrats.

Purple Bucks County PA went blue in every race last night. Incumbent sheriff (big ICE proponent) is out. Incumbent DA is out. Central Bucks school board that elected Moms for Liberty-backed candidates 4 years ago added 4 more Democrats last night. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) should be concerned.

I grew up in north Jersey. My father taught me what grifter meant when he spoke of Trump. My aunt the nun, who loved a comped room in Atlantic City, would not go to a Trump casino. I never heard a positive word about the man.

Betty is probably like my sister-in-law, who was glad she had Covered California instead of that commie Obamacare. 🙄 I've lost all empathy for those who voted for Trump and are reaping what they sowed. I'm just sorry about the pain it will cause millions of others as the premium increases kick in.

Wouldn't it be nice to make dental/vision/hearing checks part of universal healthcare? My daughter lives in S Korea. Mandatory preventative health exams are part of their national health service.

You want to keep it if you're on it & not sick. I am one of those people. I get $340/yr for OTC meds, free gym membership, dental cleaning/exam & $$ for dental work, eye exam/$$ for contacts. It's not a fair system, but when I retired, my union consultant told me it's the best deal for now. 🤷♀️

I used "guys" for years at school. Finally adopted "y'all", which didn't flow easily off my North Jersey tongue. But it got easier, and if it made one middle schooler relax their shoulders for a bit, it was worth learning.

Medicare Adv plans often include much more than Medicare. With my MA plan I get $280/yr for OTC meds, $300 for vision/dental, free gym membership (over $550,) gift cards for completing preventative care, etc. Switching to Medicare would still cost more. Dems need to be shouting this everywhere!

I won't know if it's a favorite until 9:30 tonight. It's The Mortal Storm, starring Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan. It came out in 1940, before the US entered WWII, but it's an anti-fascist movie. Praise be to independent movie theatres! But also Roman Holiday for beautiful actors:)
