I won't know if it's a favorite until 9:30 tonight. It's The Mortal Storm, starring Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan. It came out in 1940, before the US entered WWII, but it's an anti-fascist movie. Praise be to independent movie theatres! But also Roman Holiday for beautiful actors:)

I often wondered what happened to the women in 1996 who sandbagged the hill behind our house after a wildfire/before the winter storms. I wasn't allowed to offer them food but at least I got to talk to thank them for the important work they were doing. Not fighting fires, but still important work!
